Sales Leader

Sales Leader

Ryan Malfara

Ryan’s distinctive set of experiences and his dedicated efforts towards understanding his preternatural ability to focus and self-motivate make him ideally suited to accelerating growth and change in the business arena.

He has devoted a substantial amount of time to understanding the mental component that makes his physical feats possible and can apply these lessons in a business context to align focus and create a winning mind-set in those that he coaches.

Already the President of a leading seminar company; Ryan shows the same drive and commitment in his business dealings as he does in other aspects of his life.

His experience has been gained in a wider context than you’d find in your standard business school graduate and it is this breadth of world view that has nurtured a degree of maturity that goes beyond his years.

Through his charitable works, he’s established himself as a leader of teams, a coordinator of complex projects in the most extreme of circumstances, a talented marketer and fundraiser. All of these skills are brought to bear in the corporate world and fuel the achievements of the teams he works with.

Ryan’s natural athletic abilities and unfettered focus allowed him to become a top national swimmer and rower. But it’s his deep-rooted desire to do good that pushed him to go a step further, devote a major part of his adult life to raising money for charity by completing arduous physical challenges.

His first “aha” moment occurred at the age of 19, after losing a close friend to cancer and starting to chair several events forThe Canadian Cancer Society. From there, his involvement snowballed. He realized by completing gruelling bicycle challenges, scaling stairs the height of Everest, and winning the world’s toughest race (all of which he did!), his own small – or not so small – steps could bring about tangible, large-scale changes.

Currently, Ryan is using his greatest achievements as a means of inspiring others to realize theirs. Elevating businesses and entrepreneurs through his role as consultant and coach, he identifies areas of misaligned focus so that instead of drowning, they can survive … and thrive. Find out more about how Ryan’s drive and dedication can help take you and/or your team to the next level.

Contributor to Charities

One of the defining goals of Ryan’s life is to help those most in need. He makes that happen by taking on physical challenges so dangerous and unfathomable, people donate just to see him complete them.

One of the charities Ryan holds closest to his heart is The GoodLife Kids Foundation, which envisions a Canada where all kids – regardless of socioeconomic status – have the opportunity to benefit from an active life. He has worked closely with them; giving presentations on their behalf and donating a portion of his earnings from his Polar Race win to help further their lofty goal.

In the same vein, Ryan embarked on a 1896km bike ride from the start to the end of the longest street in the world -- Canada's own Yonge street. The challenging 12 day journey commenced on September 18th, 2013 in the rural border town of Rainy River, Ontario. It took Malfara on an intense ride through rugged northern Ontario, around the picturesque great lakes, to the heart of busy Downtown Toronto at 1 Yonge street. All in support of Right To Play, which aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged youth by using the power of sport for development and health.

Ryan has also helped raise $150,000 to help build Ecuadorian schools and worked on an innovative campaign with the Heart & Stroke Foundation to get defibrillators installed in strategic locations across Canada.

Thus far he has supported and raised several hundred dollars for various charities including The Chimborazo Children's Fund, The Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society, and The GoodLife Kids Foundation and Right To Play.

Within 15 minutes of coaching with Ryan Malfara, my business that I’ve been building for the past 4 years had been completely transformed and amended into a brand that is going to take it to the next level in its industry. It might sound unbelievable but he was able to switch my mindset and restructure my brand in a way that I didn't know possible. He’s a visionary and a motivator and an unbelievably good one at that.

Salon Ave is up and running. Just a month after my first coaching session with you and I have implemented at least 85% of what I had to. Its all working! My salon name has officially been changed from hair and beauty avenue, my new logo looks great, I have changed staff that was a liability to the company, im training new and current staff, my website is up (alothough its still under construction), my stylists now work purely on commission, I've also increased my prices on all our services and I've added marketing to my monthly budget. My sales have gone up in just a month so I decided to invest it back into my business and did a mini revamp. With a name like Salon Avenue it has to look the part too. Ive also made it a point to pay myself which means Im holding myself accountable for the performance of the salon. Im really happy with the progress im making and that im still going to make. I still have a lot more to impliment. Thank you very much Ryan, you're the best!!

He gives tough love, which is great. I think everyone needs that at some point, but at the same time, he's encouraging and has encouraged me to keep coming up with ideas.
